About me:  I am so grateful to be back at Clayton this year! Last year, I finished my counseling internship and worked half time here at Clayton, but this year I am back full time as the Small Groups, PBIS, and Special Projects Counselor. I will be working with 7th and 8th graders on academic, social, and emotional skills both in small groups and individually. I received my BA in Elementary Education from Utah State University and my MEd in School Counseling from University of Phoenix. I taught 6th grade for 6 years, 1 year in New Zealand for an internship, 3 years at a charter school in Rose Park, and 2 years in Granite School District. This will be my 2nd year as a school counselor in Salt Lake City School District.

In my free time, I like to lift weights at the gym, do yoga, practice mindfulness and meditation, go hiking, camping, and boating in the summer time, sing karaoke, play my ukulele and piano, dance, DJ music, spin fire, attend festivals and concerts, watch movies, go to the park, and go swimming with my 4 year old daughter, and travel the world every winter and summer vacation.  I love hanging out with my friends and their kids and going on all sorts of adventures. You could say I’m a bit of an extrovert.  I am really excited to work with our students, families, and staff and support them in whatever way I can during our 2020-2021 year!
