About Me

Hello there! my name is William Palm and this is my third year at Clayton Middle School.

I graduated from St. John’s College in 2016 with a B.A. in Liberal Arts, which is comparable to a degree in the history of math and science. I’ve been working in education in different rolls for 7 years now, and was lucky enough to receive a full ride scholarship to the University of Utah to pursue my teaching license and a masters degree. I am currently pursuing a M.Ed. in Special Education: mild to moderate disabilities. I’m honored to be here and excited to share my passion for learning with the amazing students here at Clayton.

I’m overjoyed to be joining my colleagues and mentors in the special education department, which is my true passion as an educator. I’ve always enjoyed math, and have taught algebra in a variety of settings including college students, GED students, and middle school students since 2013. This is our second year of “co-teaching” with special education students. This means I work closely alongside our math teachers to support our students on IEP so they have two math teachers. Both of us teach together to support both general ed and special ed students combined in the same classroom. Our math department have been nothing short of phenomenal during this implementation process and I’m honored to work alongside them.

I love middle school because these students ask amazing questions, and are all naturally inquisitive, all we have to do is encourage them a bit.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach to my email. Thank you!
